Garden savory

Satureja montana
An aromatic characterized by its pungent taste, almost spicy, very similar to that of Thyme. Binds with legumes, white meat, eggs, raw and cooked vegetables that, among other things makes food more digestible. It is also used to flavour liqueurs. The decoction of garden savory added to bath water is excellent to tone and purify the skin. Mixed together with Sage, Lemon Verbena and Rosemary it has an afrodisiac effect. A tonic, disinfectant, relaxant; the infusion is slightly euphoric; stimulates the brain and bodily functions. An infusion is indicated for verminosis, tiredness, digestion difficulties, intestine inflammation, bronchitis, general fatigue and diarrhea.
