Parsley

Petroselinum crispum
Parsley is well know for its aroma and for its therapeutic properties. Its use as an aromatic plant is affirmed only since Medieval times. It is an ingredient used in many dishes and sauces. It has a pungent taste and slightly bitter that enlivens the taste from any of the other herbs and can be used fresh or frozen. In chemists and herbal shops parsley is used as a diuretic, depurative, antiseptic and antispasmodic. Because of its abortive effetcs, parsley should not be consumed in excessive quantities by pregnant women and also remember that it is poisionous for cats, parrots and small animals in general, and is not often added to food.
